Pro-Immigrant Measures Available to State or Local Governments: A Quick Menu of Affirmative Ideas.  A menu of ideas for effectively incorporating immigrants into communities, investing in instead of marginalizing them.  This approach recognizes immigrants as a key ingredient of shared prosperity and seeks to maximize the economic, social, and cultural benefits of such immigration on towns, cities, counties, and states.  (9/07)

 

A call co-hosted by Progressive States Network and NILC introduced State Legislators for Progressive Immigration Policy, a network of legislators in 28 states leading the way forward by rejecting the politics of division and advancing inclusive, pro-immigrant policies at the state level -- policies that promote the effective integration of immigrants as critical members of communities and state economies.
